New Adventures
Recently a friend ask me to make up a few sketches for a children’s book. My first thought was no way, and if you read my last post you will know why. But one thing I have been lacking in my life is taking chances, and facing new adventures head on. So I said yes, the next step was to read the story. So one night instead of reading my Girls one of our regular books, I read them a future book. Then my oldest asked me why I read that to them, when I told her I may be the artist who makes the illustrations for the story she ran and got me some paper and a pencil…..then she got herself some paper and a pencil. Now my house is full of illustrations the girls have made and today I actually worked on some of my sketches while they were playing at the park. I think I may have a new branch forming to my carrier. Even if this book doesn’t work for me I think I am going to pursue more illustration opportunities!
